I bet if I asked my girls what that word meant only one of them probably knows what it means. The one that knows what it means is quickly being a master of that word.
So many things have been thrown her way over the past few months and despite it all she continues to shine.
It all started a little over 2 months ago. Kassie was practicing handstands at home in order to have them perfected for cheerleading. One day while doing a handstand she fell onto her shoulder. She was in pain every day and after testing the Doctor determines that she has shoulder instability. Basically her shoulder pops out of place because the muscle around it aren’t strong enough to support certain movements or pressure.
But through it all she manages to still do cheerleading practices, gym class, cheer at the football games and other activities even though she is in pain every day.
She also attends physical therapy so she misses 1.5 hours of school twice, sometimes 3 times a week and even though she misses classes she still has straight A’s.
This school year she decided to take a honors class. So far this school year (they’ve been back to school for 3 ½ weeks now) she had 4 projects and 1 essay due in that class. She even needed to get up at 5:45 this morning so she could be at school this morning by 6:45 for this class. Despite being in pain, missing classes and getting up early and staying up late she still manages to have a grade of 107 in that class.
Kassie is becoming an amazing, dedicated person. Her hard work and determination are helping to shape the amazing person that I know she is and will continue to be. I love you so much Kassie. I am so very proud of you!!!
