Now that you’ve learned where to get the coupons, how to organize your coupons, the lingo and when the best time is to shop, you’re almost ready to put that knowledge to the test, but first you need to learn your store’s coupon policy. Since each store is different, you’ll want to acquaint yourself with each one’s policy.
Follow these important steps to ensure you’re armed with the right kind of knowledge.
Step 1: Pick Your Store(s) — Decide which stores you’re going to shop at.
Step 2: Get the Store’s Coupon Policy – You can access many store policies online, but if you can’t simply go to your store and ask for a copy.
Step 3: Keep the Policy with You: If you’re using the Binder Method, keep a copy in the back of your binder. This comes in handy at checkout when a coupon is being refused or a situation arises. It’s no longer your word against the cashier’s because you’ll have their policy with you.
